What is A Simple Faith?

That's a good question and one I hear often. When I reach the place that I can completely answer it, A Simple Faith will no longer exist. Still, maybe some clarification will help. A Simple Faith is a Christian congregation that meets in Seagrove, Florida. The purpose and aim of A Simple Faith is to be a community of faith committed to worshipping God, following Christ, and serving the world.

This is our purpose, our mission statement, our strategic plan, and our only motivation. As a result, a unique ministry has developed. We find ourselves surrounded by those who need a place to get well and who long to experience God's grace; by those who are hurting and broken, whose journey of faith has produced more questions than answers; by those who have given up on the church or anything religious; and by those whose doubts threaten to strangle their hope. So, this is a group of people who want a simple but deep, life-giving faith with as little baggage as possible. As the Apostle Paul said of our Lord, “All the things I once thought were so important are gone… I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him” (Philippians 3).

We don't have a lot of programs at A Simple Faith. You won't find membership cards, robe-clad clergy, or capital campaigns to build the next building. What you will find is a group of people who worship God, follow Christ, and serve the world. It's that simple.
